I realized after checking through the files on my computer that I have been neglecting this group, and its not fair to you out there.

Its not that I meant to do it, its just what with life things get a little hectic. I've been focusing on my main account and in so doing have forgotten to update this one.

So, I am giving this account over to a worthy member who already is a part of this community, whom I trust and whom I know will take good care of it in my place.

I leave the twentysomething notes that I have recieved most likely to do with membership requests and art submissions in their hands, I have not yet opened them.

As we speak, I have sent said member a note to let them know that I want them to take over for me. Thank you all.

Its been wonderful to be your leader -- even if I was scatterbrained lol.

When did you first see/hear/read Cats, Old Possum's Book Of Practical Cats, or any of the songs or poems? Were you hooked immediately? Anything else you'd like to add? Please answer in comments!

Welcome to Unashamed Felinity, the community and club for Jellicle Cats and Cats lovers here at deviantArt. My name (or one of them) is Taffeta, to be found at *pirate-soul and my forums, [link]

This is a place for all fans of Cats to gather, and show off our fanart, personal Cats characters, wallpapers made of Jellicles, fanfiction, etcetera, etc, etc.

We're currently a newish community, so we appreciate every new member and every bit of advertising we can get. Heck, even when we aren't new we'll appreciate you! ^_^
So please, help us by spamming us in your journal and anywhere else you feel like. And it also helps if you submit art!

To join the community, add us to your devwatch list. Then just send us a note marked "Join" somewhere on it. You'll be placed on the member list and automatically be able to submit art to us! Welcome to the Jellicle Tribe.

Also, affiliates are welcome, so if you have a community/club that is dedicated to Cats, Andrew Lloyd-Webber, musicals, T.S. Eliot or any other thing related in some way to Cats, please send us a note and we'll place you permanently here in our journal! Please note, we do not affiliate with unrelated clubs.


Rules for Submitting
We would love to see all your fantastic fanart and the like, so please, join up and then get submitting!
Here are the rules:

Please submit your art to your dA site first, then send a link to your submission to us in a note. Submissions in comments and the such, as well as member comments, may not be seen, so please, NOTE.

If you have submitted your art to your site in that magical way that stops people stealing it, please remember I can't put it up unless I have it saved to my computer! ^_^ I promise not to steal it and put it elsewhere, so please Note me and I will give you my email so you can send it to me.

Submissions hosted outside of deviantArt will only be accepted on special occasions, so be nice and give us caviar or cream. And a note. Explaining why you can't just become a deviant. Thanks.

Don't be offended if your work was resized slightly (e.g. made smaller) I may do this from time to time with larger pictures just to save uploading time. If I'm gonna do this, generally I take the biggest size (length/width) down to 900 pixels. If you have a problem with this, let me know when you're submitting.

Have fun, and please - no flaming other people's work. If you don't think it's any good, keep it to yourself - this is not a place for debating skill and talent, it is a place to have fun and celebrate a wonderful musical and the characters therein.

N.B: This is a community/fan club for the musical Cats, not just the animal cats! Photos or pictures of your pet cats are all very well, especially if they have a name from the musical or you think they look like one of the characters, but if you submit these they will generally be submitted into the community's scraps.

Things we need/you can give us regardless of whether we have one already:
-IDs (I switch them round every week or so)
-Avatars
-A subscription!!! Pretty purrs and pretty please, if anyone's feeling generous...
